The Australian Education Unit Trust was established to invest in childcare centre properties in Australia. The Trust has investments in over 100 different centre sites across all Australian states. The Trust earns rental income from ABC Learning Centres, the manager of the childcare centres operating on the sites. Access to affordable child care is a chronic problem for parents, with ABS research showing the lack of availability of places is restricting the ability of women to participate in the workforce.
