Summary of organisation: Animals Asia Foundation (AAF) is dedicated to ending cruelty and restoring respect for animals across Asia by working with governments, local authorities and communities on projects aimed at long-term solutions to animal cruelty. Our main project, the Moon Bear Rescue, involves rescuing 700 bears from bile farms in China and Vietnam.
About the project: Education is a vital part of Animals Asia’s work and funding is sought for the development of a purpose built education centre at AAF’s Vietnam Sanctuary, located in the buffer zone of Tam Dao National Park, north of Hanoi. The Centre will include a 300sqm building housing displays on the history and cruelty of bear farming, alternatives to bear bile, the trade in endangered species, and the importance of protecting Vietnam’s wildlife and natural environment.
